Privacy
Written to follow Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act. Last updated 5 November 2026.
What we collect
Your email (to sign you in), the handle and display name you choose, your trades and forecasts, any reports you file, and, if you contribute to the Kopi Index, plate photos and prices. If you allow analytics, we record which pages and features you use, linked to a random account id, never your email or name.
Why
To run the game, settle markets, show leaderboards and calibration stats, keep the ledger correct, and learn which features help. We don't sell data or show ads.
Analytics and cookies
Until you choose, analytics run without cookies. If you allow them, PostHog sets cookies so we can tell visits apart. Change your choice any time in Settings.
Photos
Location and other metadata are removed from plate photos on your device before upload. Photos are stored privately and never shown publicly; only medians are published, and only for five or more plates.
AI
Some text (clues, market descriptions, result summaries, your weekly stats summary) and portion estimates are produced with Anthropic's Claude API. We send only what each feature needs, never your email. Your weekly summary is written from your forecasting stats, linked to no name or email, and only you can see it. Request and response logs are deleted after 30 days.
Emails
Apart from sign-in links, we email you only if you turn on settlement emails in Settings: one email when a market you traded settles. They're sent through Resend, which receives your email address and the email's contents. Turn them off any time in Settings.
Your rights
Download everything we hold about you, or delete your account, from Settings. Deleting removes your email and sign-in and anonymises your name; past trades stay in market histories so other players' results stay correct.
Where data lives
Supabase (database, sign-in, photo storage) in Singapore, Vercel (hosting), PostHog (analytics, only with consent), Anthropic (AI features) and Resend (emails, only if you turn them on).
